(1987-2000)	ABOUT OM PARKASH MEMORIAL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT: Born on 11th July 1987,joined Carman School,Shyampur Dehradun on 16th of July 1991,a student "Om Parkash" . Om Parkash always had a smile on his face and made others comfortable with his similing face,he attracted everybody towards himself.He was quite,respectfull to everybody! All-rounder... It was the wish of the Almighty. Om Parkash alongwith 3 other students was playing Football, in the school campus,7th of July 2000,when the heavens were angry and as the sky turned blue after the last drop of rain. while these students where laughing,enjoying the football game when suddenly a bolt of lighting stuck and there was chaos. In moments everything was calm and quiet....lighting had stuck Om Parkash.He was immediately rushed to Hospital... but Om Parkash was not with us ! Every Year a Football Tournament is organised by Carman School,Shyampur Dehradun in the memory of their Late student "OM PARKASH" Schools teams from Dehradun Dist. participate in the Tournament. The Carman School Shyampur Dehradun hosts the tounrament,all the matches are held on the school feild itself.
CARMAN SCHOOL , SHYAMPUR-DEHRADUN: CARMAN SCHOOL SHYAMPUR DEHRADUN is the sole organizer of the " OM PARKASH MEMORIAL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT " started since 2001 and all matches are held on the Ground of the CARMAN SCHOOL Shyampur-Dehradun only. A Player from DEHRADUN & MUSSOORIE if registered with any Football Club,affiliated to Dehradun Sports Assocation or any other District will not be allowed to play in the Tournament. Participation in the Tournament ( entry Fee ) is FREE. All the rules pertaing to the matches of the Tournament are made by the Management of the CARMAN SCHOOL will be final and all players will abide by the instructions and decisios of the SCHOOL Management in respect of the matches and the tournament. Any team or any player can be debarred from playing or participating in the tournament on account of indiscipline or misbehaviour. Only one staff members are permitted to play in the school team and should have completed minimum one year in the institution. Matches can be postphoned or rearranged as per the convenience of the Tournament Committee of the the college in any matter or dispute will be final. Any team or player who has been debarred earlier by the SCHOOL organizing Tournament Committee will not be entitled to participate in the following year's and consequent Tournament unless permitted in writtng by the SCHOOL organizing Tournament Committee. Players and teams are further informed that indicipline and misbehaviour will not be tolerated and team will also be responsible for their supporters' behaviour. Rights to entery of persons and suppoters can also be restricted. In case of injury to a player/or players the SCHOOL will not be responsible abd no monetary claim can be made by the club or players concered from the organizer. Rolling trophies for the Winners and Runners-up team wil always remain as rolling trophies. Even if a team WINS the trophy for THREE YEARS running the trophy will not be awarded to them. A match may be called off if the WEATHER is extremely poor due to RAIN or if the ground becomes water logged. Calling off a match is the sole right of the referee and the Organising Committee.
